A reply to Akram Khan and Ibrahim Omer’s articles published in Arabia (August 1984 and September 1985). Holds that there is nothing against development in Islam. All development effort is ‘ibada. Muslims should use their wealth rationally to emancipate themselves from need, illness and disbelief.
