The main purpose of this paper is to examine the shariah appraisal of house building finance corporation ltd. Pakistan established to finance the construction of houses in the urban areas of Pakistan. A comparison is made between Islamic Banking and Commercial Banking for this scheme along with inclduing opinion of Shariah experts.
