- Açıklama: An abridged version of a chapter of his English book A Study of Evolution of Ijtihad in the Development of Zakat Law during 1st Century AH. Tries tofind answers to three questions: (i) what was the nature of the formation of zakah law during the period of the Prophet?; (ii) what was the role of ijtihad in the development of this law‘); (iii) what were the main principles of ijtihad in this period? Concludes that the detailed law of zaka'h was evolved on the basis of ijtihad. The main sources for ijtihad were: Qur’an, unwritten revelations to the Prophet (walgy khafi), opinion and insight of the Prophet, consultation, traditions of the society, and alien influences.
